In this new Advent sermon series we look to Carols of the season to give us hope and inspiration. We begin with, "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel." It is a 6th century hymn that epitomizes the Advent Season. The hymn is an apocalyptic prayer asking God to come into our broken world to bring healing and hope. In Christmas we remember if God has done it before, come to us in Christ Jesus, God will again, and that hopeful expectation is Advent.
